World Space Week 2023
Observed annually in October, World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology.
This year we have come up with some space-tacular ways to help you make, learn, colour, laugh and wear all things intergalactic!

1. On average shooting stars travel at 30,000 miles per hour but can reach speeds of over 100,000 miles per hour!
2. The Earth could fit inside the sun over one million times.
3. Scientists believe that there could be more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on all of Earth’s beaches.
4. The footprints on the moon will stay there for millions of years because there is no wind or rain to blow them away.
5. The longest time an astronaut has spent in space is 437 consecutive days.
