Our Kite style
It’s time to meet some of our amazing team!
Kite is made up of a fantastic bunch of women (and men) of all different ages, shapes and sizes. We recently held a small photoshoot so that we could share with you a little bit more about us, and also showcase our favourite womenswear styles.
Meet Jo
Our founder is a born entrepreneur, full of great ideas and bursting with energy - even after her early morning cycle into the office!
Jo is wearing our Penn Hill shacket, Sandford jersey top and Seatown skinny jeans.
"When I started Kite I never imagined being able to branch out into womenswear, it's been a brilliant (but admittedly sometimes daunting!) journey.
I find it fascinating seeing what the team choose from the collection and of course I get to enjoy the styles too. The shacket is my number one pick this season, I love, love, love it!"
Meet Andrea
Our queen of numbers (aka Finance Manager) and German native is wearing the gorgeous Luscombe jumper and Minterne skirt. Andrea recently ticked driving a tractor off her bucket list (but not whilst wearing this outfit!).
"For me, comfort is key so I'm a big fan of these clothes. The skirt is very flattering and I can easily dress it up or down.
The neckline of the jumper falls beautifully on me and the material is so soft on my skin!"
Meet Paige
Our designer and resident surfer chick, who, when she's not in the office being a creative whizz, can be found enjoying every aspect of the great outdoors.
Paige is wearing our South Beach sweatshirt and Sydling joggers.
"This combo is so comfy and snug. I love popping my sweatshirt and joggers on to warm up after a run along the beach or a surf in the cold sea.
They're also great for lounging around in with a good cuppa!"
Meet Jenna
She's our garment technologist of six years and the highest ranking team tea-maker. If you can't find her, she's probably buried under a pile of clothes, working hard to make sure every little detail is just right.
Jenna can be seen wearing our Flaghead dress.
"I love the style and versatility, I can wear it to work with some white pumps, or on an evening out for drinks with friends.
I think both designs are really lovely, but animal ramble is my fave. The fabric hangs so nicely and the flattering fit means I don't have to worry if my tummy is feeling a little full!"
Meet Lauren
Fresh out of university in Scotland, Lauren packed up and headed down south to join us here at Kite, working closely by Jenna's side in the garment tech team.
We think she looks fab wearing our Tarrant jersey top and Coveway dungarees.
"I love the rainbow stripe top. It's so soft and you can just feel the quality as soon as you put it on. Also, who doesn't love a rainbow?
The dungarees are a change from what I'd usually wear, but now, I don't want to take them off! The loose fit and soft lining make them ideal for relaxing in at home, and the smart cord means I don't have to change before heading out."
Meet Lucy
Cat loving, tea drinking, Midlands mum of one, Lucy looks after all things marketing.
She is wearing ou rOvercliff jumper and Chiswell pull ons.
“I have struggled with body confidence for a long time and clothes shopping has always been akin to food shopping for me, a chore to be done when needed!
It was a bit of an eye-opener when I started to wear Kite styles. They make me feel really good on the inside, as well as looking not too bad on the outside. Not to mention they're planet-friendly to boot - it's a win all round."
Meet Ally
Super seller by day, super sailor by night (well weekends and evenings really!), our very own sales director looks lovely in the Highcliffe dress and side stitch tights.
"To be honest I'm not normally a dress person. I love casual comfort, so a trousers and top combination is my usual choice. But then I tried on this dress and fell in love. I can see why it’s been a hit with our stockists!
The fit really suits my shape and I've received such lovely compliments. I’m planning to wear it for pretty much everything this season, and for many more to come – from work to welly walks and tending the Christmas turkey. Just perfect.”
Meet Ozay
Fluent in English, Turkish and German, Ozay, one of Kite's operations team, is our go-to linguist. She can tackle any problem in almost any language!
Ozay chose to wear our Wimborne shirt and Blandford skirt.
"I love this outfit as it is a great choice for workwear, and going out straight after too! The prairie print shirt is so beautiful and because it's made from 100% organic cotton, it's really comfy.
The skirt is a great length for me (I am not blessed with height!). I love that it combines the classic chic of a pencil skirt with day-to-day denim."
Meet Kay
That smile on her face is because she got to wear the Tuckton cardigan - it's a big hit in the office!
Kay, who works in our warehouse, has paired the cardigan with our Bexington shirt and Seatown skinny jeans.
"As a mum of boys there are not many opportunities to mix and match with your little ones, but with this gorgeous check shirt I can.
This outfit gives me all the autumn feels and gets me excited for crisp, country walks (especially with my new puppy!). Kite skinny jeans are my go-to. They're comfy, very stretchy and so soft to wear."
Well designed, sustainable clothing can make you feel good on so many levels, as our team found out at our special shoot.
There was laughter throughout and although there were some nerves at first (professional models we are not!), we hope that you have enjoyed seeing our showcase of styles and finding out a little bit about us.
