Creating a new collection means something different every time. From conception through to launch, this season's theme is particularly poignant.

The inspiration
Our founder and head of design, Jo, grows each collection from an idea.
"Marvellous Me is quite simply a theme about self-esteem and knowing that you are good enough.
I, like many people, have been touched by mental health issues in the last couple of years. As I mulled over the right inspiration for AW23, more than a year ago, it felt like the right time to shine a light on this subject through our collection.
I’m beyond proud of the results. From our amazing ‘Super me’ to the stunning ‘Be Yourself’ prints, our illustrations and colours have created something special that I hope you love."
A theme with meaning
Our theme came to life on our photoshoot where we discovered our mini models' superpowers!
From counting really high and performing entire musical numbers, to being super kind and caring, we celebrated so much that made them their own unique selves.
It's so important to be proud of everything that makes us special, and we hope this collection helps you find your very own Marvellous Me.
Designs with a story
We started by thinking about all the traits that make us marvellous and spotted that there are so many lessons we can learn from animals.
From the bravery and determination of lions to the care and friendliness of otters, celebrating marvellous animals is an excellent way to celebrate similar qualities in ourselves.
We learnt so much through our design process and cannot wait to share with you the stories of elusive Okapi and remarkable blue-footed Boobies!
Personal prints
We thoughtfully hand picked colours to bring the theme to life. You’ll find beautiful bright shades paired with soft tones to create the perfect balance.
Our in-house designer then created knockout prints that offer something for everyone. With hours of research and special stories behind each one, there is so much to discover in this collection.
Fresh faces
We created characters with as much personality as the little ones who will wear them.
Brought to life with unique appliqué, embroidery and print details, our designs feature expressive animals including curious lions and friendly dinos. For the more machinery minded we have busy emergency vehicles, colourful rockets and even a jolly digger or two.
Your little one will quickly find a new pal to make friends with!

New fabrics
At Kite, we are always looking for new sustainable materials and are excited to announce that we’ve found a new fabric that meets our strict environmental and quality criteria.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose is an eco-responsible fabric that is backed by full certification, so that you can be confident in what you buy. Responsibly produced from renewable wood sources, the manufacturing process generates 50% lower emissions and consumes 50% less water.
We’re delighted with the soft and drapey qualities this jersey fabric offers, and using original Kite hand-drawn prints we’ve created some special womenswear pieces that we hope you’ll love as much as we do.
